Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sore Losers ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Olmo Technologies (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a business based in Norway.

2. Service description

Sore Losers is a dice bluffing game for iOS. It allows you to:

• Play a campaign of seven fights against computer opponents
• Play on your own against computer opponents outside the campaign
• Play other people over the network by opening a room and sharing its code
• Play around a single table, passing one phone between players
• Collect dice sets, earn badges and keep a record of your games

No account is required. The App has no chat and no way to enter text beyond a display name you choose yourself.

3. Purchases

Sore Losers is free to download and includes optional one-time purchases: the campaign beyond the first fight, individual dice sets, and a bundle of dice sets. There are no subscriptions and nothing auto-renews.

One-time purchases

Each purchase is a non-consumable in-app purchase. Once bought, it is yours permanently and can be restored on another device using Restore purchases in the app.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. Olmo Technologies does not process refunds directly.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change prices. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made.

4. The numbered limited edition

Numbers are issued in the order purchases complete. We reserve the right to withdraw the set from sale before the full 500 are issued, and we intend to do so slightly early to make certain the limit is never exceeded.

The limited edition is a cosmetic dice set. It confers no advantage in play.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use a display name that is unlawful, hateful, or that impersonates another person
• Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the game server
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law
• Use automated means to play, to open rooms, or to obtain purchases

Because a display name is shown to everyone at your table, choosing one that others would find offensive is a breach of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its artwork, characters, text and code, is owned by Olmo Technologies and protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control.

The underlying game of liar's dice is a traditional game in the public domain. Nothing in these Terms claims ownership of the game's rules.

Music in the App is by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0 and credited in the App.

7. Online play

Online rooms are hosted on Cloudflare Workers. A room exists only for the duration of a game and is deleted in full 45 minutes after the last activity once nobody is connected.

We do not guarantee that the server will be available without interruption. Solo play, the campaign and play around a single table do not require a network connection and are unaffected by server availability.

You are responsible for who you share a room code with. Anyone holding a valid code can join a room that has space.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• Olmo Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Norwegian consumer protection law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to online play at any time if you breach these Terms, or if we decide to discontinue the App. Upon termination, your licence to use the App immediately ceases.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Deleting the App removes all game data stored on your device; purchases can be restored on a new installation.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer located in the EU or EEA, you also have access to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
