Sore Losers
Contents
Short version: Sore Losers has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. The game does not ask for your camera, your location or your contacts. Almost everything it knows about you sits on your phone and disappears with the app. The only things that leave your phone are what it takes to play other people over the network, and what it takes to make a purchase work.
Sore Losers is developed and operated by Olmo Technologies, a sole-trader business based in Norway.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Olmo Technologies is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with Sore Losers.

The app stores your settings and progress locally on your phone:
None of this is sent anywhere on its own. Delete the app and it is gone. We hold no backup.
The player ID is a random number generated on your phone. It is not tied to an Apple ID, a Google account, an email address, a phone number or your device, and it cannot be used to work out who you are.
If you play solo, the campaign, or around a single table, nothing is sent anywhere. Those modes work without a network connection.
When you open a room or join one, the following is sent to the game server:
Your name is shown to the others at the table. You pick it yourself, and it does not have to be your real one.
The room is deleted in full 45 minutes after the last activity, once nobody is connected. At that point the code, the names and the game are gone.
The game server runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare handles the connection and sees your IP address, as any provider of network infrastructure does.
We do not sell information about you, and we have nothing to sell.
Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card, your address or any other payment details. The store only tells us that a purchase went through.
To keep track of what you own we use RevenueCat, which receives your player ID and the purchase details from the store.
The numbered copy — Confiscated, of which only 500 exist — needs a little more. The game server asks RevenueCat whether the purchase is real rather than a test purchase, and stores the purchase's transaction ID against your number. This is what keeps your number yours, even if you change phones. That link is kept; it is the whole point of a limited edition.
Cloudflare hosts the game server that runs online rooms. It receives the room code, the name you chose, your player ID and the game itself, and sees your IP address as part of handling the connection. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat manages purchases and restores them when you change device. It receives your player ID and the purchase details from the store. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple and Google process the payment itself. See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
That is the entire list. There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers and no data brokers.
Game data on your phone is stored in the app's own storage, protected by your device's operating system.
Online rooms live on Cloudflare's network and are transmitted over encrypted connections. A room holds only what is listed in section 3, and only for as long as the game lasts.
The link between a purchase and a serial number is stored on the game server and contains no personal data beyond the store's transaction ID and your randomly generated player ID.
We process only what it takes to make the game work, on the basis of the agreement between you and us.
If you are in the EU or EEA you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing.
For almost everything the answer is simple: it is all on your phone, and you delete it by deleting the app.
If you want to know what we hold, or want us to delete the link between your purchase and your numbered copy, write to contact@olmo-technologies.com. We respond within 30 days. Note that a deleted serial number is gone for good — we cannot give it back.
You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your country. In Norway that is Datatilsynet.
Game data on your device is kept until you delete the app.
An online room is deleted in full 45 minutes after the last activity, once nobody is connected.
The link between a purchase and a serial number is kept for as long as the limited edition exists, so that your number stays yours across devices.
The game has no chat and no way to enter text beyond the name you choose yourself. There is no account to create, and no way for anyone to reach you through the app.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Your continued use of Sore Losers after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
