Short version: Frigg stores almost everything locally on your device. We do not sell your data. The only data that leaves your device is what you voluntarily send to the AI Coach, which is processed by Anthropic.
Frigg is developed and operated by Olmo Technologies, a sole-trader business based in Norway.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Olmo Technologies is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with Frigg.

The following data is stored exclusively on your iPhone and is never transmitted to our servers:
Frigg uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you sign in, Apple provides us with a unique user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. We store the Apple user identifier locally on your device to maintain your session. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
If you use the AI Coach feature, the messages you type are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Section 4 for details.
Data stored on your device is used solely to provide and improve the functionality of Frigg:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating the app.
When you send a message in the AI Coach, it is transmitted to Anthropic PBC (San Francisco, USA) for processing via their Claude API. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.
Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as medical records or financial details) in your AI Coach messages.
Frigg uses Apple's frameworks for authentication (Sign in with Apple) and in-app purchases (StoreKit). Apple's data handling is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Frigg does not integrate any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or third-party tracking library.
Your personal data (quit dates, settings, journal entries) is stored locally in your device's sandboxed storage using Apple's standard iOS data protection APIs. This data is encrypted at rest by iOS and is not accessible to other apps.
AI Coach messages are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) to Anthropic. We do not store these messages on any server of our own.
We do not operate our own cloud database or backend server that stores your personal Frigg data.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet): www.datatilsynet.no.
Data stored on your device is retained until you delete the app or use the Reset App function. We do not retain your data on any external server after you stop using Frigg.
AI Coach messages processed via Anthropic are subject to Anthropic's retention policy. We do not store copies of these messages.
Frigg is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Your continued use of Frigg after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
